WP Users Media | 4.0.0 | 100 | 20 | 11868 |
| |||
Requires PHP: 7.2.0 WP Users Media is a WordPress plugin that displays only the current users media files and attachments in WP Admin. WP Users Media works right away when you activate the plugin. No more settings needed. If you need the options switched on for the Admin also you can do it in the Options Page located in the Settings area. What the plugin does is to disable the ability for users to access other members files and attachments through the Media Button and Featured Image sections. This is really good because maybe you have Authors, Contributors and Subscribers that writes posts etc. and you do not want them to be able to use other members media files to their own content. To test it out create 3 users, 1 Admin and 2 Author's for an example. As Admin you are able to see all media files from all the users on the site. Upload some photos or other media files as Admin. Log out Login as Author 1 and click on the Add Media button for an post or a page. Now you do not see any media files at all. If the plugin was inactivated you would be able to see the photos that the Admin uploaded. Now, upload some photos as Author 1. Log out. Repeat step 2 for Author 2. As you can see Author 2 cannot see the files uploaded from the Admin and from the Author 1. This is very effective solution to keep the media files more private.
Modify Attachments Meta | 0.2 | 66 | 3 | 3027 |
| |||
Allows modification of meta data of attachments, such as date fields, menu order... (soon to add more, I guess). When embedding a file/image/video/something to a page, or you try to edit them in the Library, you'll be allowed to make changes on some meta data. Currently timestamp for uploading of the file and menu order are configurable, although they are still not well validated for wrong input. TODO Metabox like shown here: http://wpsnipp.com/index.php/functions-php/start-date-end-date-metabox-for-events-custom-post-types/; Changing file name of the attachment (without the extension, of course); Control over which user roles can edit these fields; Validation error messages should be displayed; Use anonymous functions, instead of worrying what'll happen if a function is defined by someone else; If a user types invalid input, they should be warned. Currently nothing happens - attachment is updated without updating with the wrong data. As I'm lazy as hell, I'll need your help to think of new features to implement! Use the widget to display the credits in the footer or the sidebars. See the settings page to choose how you display the credits, including the HTML used to build them. This plugin is a fork of the Image Credits plugin by Adam Capriola. It is 100% compatible, if you are already using the Image Credit plugin just replace it with this one and it will work about the same way, except you will have more control. Media Credit | 4.0.4 | 84 | 19 | 39467 |
| |||
Adds a "Credit" field when uploading media to posts and displays it under the images on your blog to properly credit the artist. Feel free to get in touch with us about anything you’d like me to add to this plugin or any feedback. We love hearing from our users! Start a thread on the plugin forum and we’ll get back to you shortly! This plugin adds a “Credit” field when uploading media to posts and displays it under the images on your blog to properly credit the artist. When adding media through the Media Uploader tool or editing media already in the Media Library, this plugin adds a new field to the media form that allows users to assign credit for given media to a user of your blog (assisted with autocomplete) or to any freeform text (e.g. courtesy photos, etc.). When this media is then inserted into a post, a new shortcode, [media-credit], surrounds the media, inside of any caption, with the provided media credit information. Media credit inside this shortcode is then displayed on your blog under your media with the class .media-credit, which has some default styling but which you can customize to your heart’s content. You can also display all the media by an author on the author’s page. See more in the FAQ. Options This plugin provides a few options which appear on the Media page under Settings. These options are: Separator Organization Display credits after post Example This is best explained with an example. With a separator of ” | ” and an organization of The Daily Times, media inserted will be followed with a credit line appearing as follows, with the username linking to the author page for that user: John Smith | The Daily Times Further explanation Separator: These are the characters that separate the display name for a user on your blog from the name of the organization, as described below. The default separator is ” | ” but feel free to change this to suit your needs. Organization: This is what appears after the separator as listed above. The default organization is the name of your blog. Display credits after post: With this option enabled, media credit shortcodes will not appear by default when inserting media into your posts. Instead, the plugin will look through the content of your posts for any media attachments and display something like the following at the end of each post with the CSS class .media-credit-end: Images courtesy of John Smith | The Daily Times, Michael Scott and Jane Doe. In this example, John Smith is a user of your blog, while the latter two credits are not.
