When moderating comments in the WordPress Admin area, it is useful to be able to see the parent comment if one exists. How To Use It You don't need to do anything. Simply activate it and the parent comment will appear for comments that have one. Just prior to the comment form coming in to view, an unobtrusive panel will be displayed with a short message that says: "Your comments make us happy.  Leave a comment, get a kitten!"   When a comment is submitted, a picture of an adorable kitten is displayed in a modal window. Caveats: This plugin assumes that your comment form is A) built with the 'comment_form' WordPress function and B) that your comment form has an id of "commentform" (This is the WordPress default, but your theme developer may have changed the behavior for whatever reason. In addition to a list of subscriptions, Comment Mail also maintains an event log, which exposes a lot of useful information that happens along the way. If you're ever confused about why a particular user is subscribed (or not), the event log comes in handy. Not just for you, but if you ever need to explain something to a user this is handy. Customizable Templates The lite version of Comment Mail includes a basic set of templates that you can customize to match the theme of your site. Customize them all! Or, perhaps you simply want to tweak Comment Mail in ways that perfect the design in a particular WordPress theme of your choosing. That's fine too! However, if you want to completely uninstall Comment Mail you can turn Safeguards off, and then deactivate & delete Comment Mail from the plugins menu in WordPress. This way Comment Mail will erase your options for the plugin, erase database tables created by the plugin, remove subscriptions, terminate CRON jobs, etc. In short, when Safeguards are off, Comment Mail erases itself from existence completely when you delete it. The comment area is shown when you click the comment count bubbles (left or right) beside any section. When publishing a comment next to a paragraph, the comment is published in place without a page reload (using Ajax; requires plugin WP Ajaxify Comments). The comment bubbles are not showing up on small screens/mobile sites in many cases. IMPORTANT: This plugin is no longer supported. Select position of attachment in comment, either before the main comment, or after it. Decide whether attachment can be downloaded. Decide if the attachment image should be displayed in a comment and select image size (it automatically loads all image sizes set up in your wordpress installation and by your theme using 'add_image_size') Restrict file size of uploaded attachment. Try Wordpress 3.6^ experimental audio / video player. All attachments are inserted in your main wordpress media gallery, and are attached (if set in settings) to current commented post. (if set in settings). Upon comment deletion the attachment in that comment is deleted as well (if set in settings). The plugin uses memory tables for fast caching within the database (no pesky permission setting for you to worry about here) and adjustible polling times to suit a wide range of server performance.
