Unsaved messages follow the selected template: Modern uses shorter copy for its structured layouts, and Plain Text uses the pre-styling copy. Plain Text uses the existing legacy email format and hides the image, color, and branding controls. Saved Modern values remain stored and return when you switch back. An explicitly saved blank stays blank, and custom copy stays unchanged.

Modern emails can use a header image at Small, Medium, or Large size. You can also set the background, body, text, and accent colors. Preview the main design or any first-party email editor with fictional, unsaved values in a new tab. A preview does not send an email.

The Modern layout supports Ticket Email To Attendee, Order Receipt Email To Purchaser, and RSVP Going Email To Attendee. Modern Ticket Attendee and RSVP Going Attendee emails include an Add to Calendar button and a sanitized event-title-yyyy-mm-dd.ics attachment in Sugar Calendar Lite and Pro. Can I customize how the date is displayed?

Yes! You can control and customize date and time formatting. Go to Sugar Calendar > Settings.

The most commonly used formats are pre-populated for you to select, or you can select ‘Custom’ and format things exactly what you want.

Be sure to click the ‘Help’ button on the top-right of the admin screen to get details on how everything works. You can achieve just about any result imaginable.

Can I sell tickets to my events?

Yes. Sugar Calendar has built-in event ticketing with Stripe for paid tickets, and you can offer free tickets without connecting a payment provider. You can also add a registration form to collect extra details from each attendee during checkout, and export your attendee list to CSV.

Can I add Zoom meetings to my events?

Yes. Connect your Zoom account under Sugar Calendar > Settings > Integrations, then add a Zoom meeting to an event from the event editor. The join details appear on the event page.

Can I migrate from The Events Calendar?

Yes. Sugar Calendar includes a one-click migration tool for The Events Calendar. Go to Sugar Calendar > Tools > Migrate, and your events, calendars, and other details come across automatically.

Can I have recurring / repeating events?

The premium versions of Sugar Calendar have recurring / repeating event features, where you can configure even the most complex repeating event schedules.

Can I display Google Maps with my Events?

Yes, you can display a Google Maps map of the event location on the event details page. The only thing you need is a Google Maps API key that you can configure in the Sugar Calendar settings.

I am getting a 404 / “page not found” error.

If you are getting these types of errors when viewing an event page, you may need to resave your permalink structure. Go to Settings > Permalinks and click “Save Changes”. Then try viewing the page again.
